Changelog
What’s new in DMU Mail
Every change to DMU Mail on the web and in the Windows app, newest first.
Spell check, Send feedback, sidebar counts and provider logos
Spell check in English and Greek, feedback from the app, the counts you choose beside each sidebar item, providers' logos on their mail, Analytics in tabs, and Mine now includes your own mailboxes.
New· 17
Spell check
In English and Greek as you write, with careful auto-correct, all on your device.
Send feedback
Report a problem or suggest an idea from the account menu, with screenshots if you like.
Sidebar counts
Right-click any sidebar item to show its unread count, its total, or both.
Provider logos
Mail from Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Zoho and other providers shows their logo.
Spelling, step by step
Misspelt words get a dotted underline in messages, team chat, notes, templates and signatures. Click one for suggestions, or add it to your dictionary. Administrators keep a list of the organisation's own words, such as product and client names. On a computer, common typos are corrected as you type, and Backspace undoes it. Nothing you type leaves your device to be checked. Settings › Writing › Spelling.
Help and support
In the account menu, our support page with the docs and how to reach us.
Improved· 7
Mine includes your own mailboxes: in Inbox, Open, All mail, Closed, Sent, Drafts and a label's or a team's view, Mine now shows everything in your private mailboxes as well as what is assigned to you.
Reply times in your opening hours: once your organisation has saved its business hours, every reply time counts open hours only, so mail that arrives on Friday evening and is answered on Monday morning is not counted as two days late.
Company icons for more senders: many more companies now show their icon, including sites with large home pages that were missed before. Senders already in your mail are checked again over the next hours.
Nobody taken off silently: when merging conversations takes someone off a conversation, they are told, and Activity names them. Undo takes both back.

Improved· 26
Every feature during the beta: while DMU Mail is in beta, every organisation can use every feature, Analytics included, whatever its plan.
Mailbox settings in tabs: General, Access and Connection, each with its own link, with the mailbox's name and status on every tab. Members see the same tabs, read only.
Leaving a team: taking someone out of a team, or deleting a team, now says whose assigned conversations are affected and lets you choose to unassign them or keep them on those conversations.
The conversation's actions stay pinned on the right, so they never move when someone is assigned, with Trash right beside Close and Snooze next to it. On narrow screens the less used ones fold into the More menu; on a phone Unread, Move, Important and Spam are in the ⋯ menu, and the back arrow does what the × did.
Fixed· 6
Assigned to me could show a number while its list was empty, because it counted a snoozed conversation. Snoozed conversations are no longer counted there, or in a team's number, until they come back.
Folding a date in the list no longer loads that date's conversations. The list carries on with the ones after it, and the date shows how many it holds.
Message bodies on phones no longer stay blank in the cases we could find.
Date headings in the list draw a single line.
Company icons, tidier messages, and joining with Google or Microsoft
Mail from companies shows their icon, messages start with one line before your signature, and invitations can be accepted with Google or Microsoft.
New· 7
Company icons
Mail from a company writing from its own domain shows the company's icon instead of initials, once the mail proves it really came from that domain. Companies that wrote to you in the last six months get theirs too. Gmail and other free mail, colleagues and companies without an icon keep today's look.
Join with Google or Microsoft
An invitation link you were sent can be accepted by signing in with Google or Microsoft as the invited address, instead of typing the emailed code.
No-reply heads-up
Writing to an address nobody reads, such as noreply@, shows a gentle note under the recipients.
Drop files to reply
Drag files onto an open conversation to start a reply with them attached.
A message waiting out its undo seconds now shows in Scheduled, with Send now and Undo.
Click a notice about a conversation, such as Sent or Moved to Spam, to open it.
Invitation emails and the join page follow the language of the person who invited you.
Improved· 6
A new message or reply opens with one line for you to write on, then your signature, instead of several empty lines.
Messages you send no longer start with empty lines.
Every menu, from the account menu to Label, Move and Snooze, now has the roomier spacing of the message menu.
Organisation logos and people's photos are kept by your browser, so the organisation switcher and avatars no longer load again each time you open them.
Fixed· 4
Collapsed messages you sent show the start of what you wrote again.
The Moved to Spam notice goes away once you choose Not spam.
A team's view moves on to the next conversation when the last team member is taken off it.
The nightly clean-up of old mail is recorded in Activity with what it deleted.

Improved· 4
Spam stays out of Important, Sent, the Assigned views and All mail.
A change to your sidebar shows on your other devices at once.
Deleting old mail keeps a conversation with recent team chat or notes, and a snoozed one until it wakes.
Show original on a message you sent includes its Bcc.
Fixed· 2
Mail with a wrong or very old date is placed by when it arrived.
The To field stays beside its label while suggestions are open.
Replies bring conversations back
A reply to a closed conversation opens it again, and what needs you comes to the top.
New· 2
Reopened by a reply
A reply to a closed conversation opens it again, and so does a bounce of your reply. Out-of-office replies don’t.
After you reply
A conversation nobody has is assigned to you, and your reply closes it once it has gone. Both are on by default. Change them in Settings › Writing, or for one reply with Close after sending.
Improved· 4
Being assigned, a new team chat message, reopening and a snooze waking bring a conversation to the top of the list.
A reply you send brings its conversation to the top once it has gone.
The list stays in order as mail arrives and conversations leave it.
On phones and tablets a message appears at once, without fading in.
Fixed
Lines in a conversation’s history sit among the messages, in time order.
Invite links, teams and signatures

Improved· 2
DMU Mail starts faster, and a conversation opens in a single request.
A message is prepared for reading once, when it arrives, so it opens at once.
