Block a sender
Block one address, or everyone at a domain. Their mail never reaches DMU Mail, not even Spam, and nobody is sent a bounce. At your provider it goes to Trash, so you can still find it.

What it does
Gone before it lands
Rejected, not just hidden
Blocked mail never appears in DMU Mail, not even in Spam. It doesn’t count, notify or run automations.
An address or a domain
Block one address, or everyone at a domain. Free mail such as gmail.com is blocked by address only.
No bounce
Nothing is sent back, so a forged sender address never lands a bounce on an innocent stranger.
Hard to block the wrong person
Colleagues and your own domains can’t be blocked, nor a sender whose message failed its sender check.
How it works
Two clicks to block
- 1
Open the Spam menu
In a conversation’s top bar, choose Mark as spam and block the sender, or Block everyone at the domain.
- 2
Choose who it is for
Choose everyone in the organisation (administrators only) or just your own private mailboxes, then Block.
- 3
Review it later
Settings › Spam & senders › Blocked lists every block and how many messages it has stopped. Unblock one there.
Good to know
The details
- Who can use it
- Anyone can block for their own private mailboxes. Only administrators can block for everyone.
- At your provider
- Rejected mail is moved to Trash there as it arrives. Some providers empty Trash after a while, Gmail after 30 days.
- Unblocking
- New mail comes through again. Mail that was already rejected stays out of DMU Mail.
- Automatic blocks
- When three different people report the same sender within 30 days, DMU Mail sends that sender’s mail to Spam for everyone. This one never rejects.
