Encrypted exports
Download a copy of your own data, or of your organisation’s, whenever you like. The export waits for you encrypted under a key of its own, and can’t be read once it has expired.

What it does
Your data, on request
Yours, at any time
Everyone can download their own data. Administrators can export the organisation’s shared mail, people and settings.
Encrypted while it waits
The archive is stored under an encryption key made just for that export.
Gone after seven days
The link stops working after 7 days and the file is deleted. Its key is destroyed 72 hours after that.
Proof it’s you
Preparing one asks you to confirm again, and an organisation export needs a passkey or an authenticator code.
How it works
Prepare, wait, download
- 1
Ask for it
In Settings › Account › Your data for yourself, or Settings › Details › Export for the organisation, choose Prepare download or Prepare export.
- 2
Confirm it’s you
Enter your password, a passkey or a code from your authenticator app. An organisation export needs the passkey or the code.
- 3
Download
We email you a link when it is ready, usually within minutes. It works for 7 days, and only while you are signed in.
