Safe to open
Every email is cleaned on our servers and shown in a frame with scripts switched off. Pictures from the web wait until you allow them, and mail from outside carries a notice.

What it does
Open it, and nothing runs
Cleaned on arrival
Scripts and anything else that could run are removed on our servers, once, when the message arrives.
A locked frame
Messages open in a sandboxed frame with scripts switched off, a second lock behind the cleaning.
Pictures wait for you
Pictures from the web stay hidden until you choose Show images, for one message or for senders you pick.
A notice for strangers
Mail from someone nobody has written to carries a notice. In Spam, links and pictures are switched off.
How it works
From arrival to reading
- 1
It arrives
DMU Mail cleans the message on our servers and prepares it for reading, once, so it opens at once.
- 2
You open it
It appears in a locked frame with scripts off. Remote pictures are held back, and tracking pixels are removed.
- 3
You choose
Press Show images for this message, or always show them from a sender or a domain. The choice is yours alone.
Good to know
The details
- Always on
- The cleaning and the locked frame apply to every message in every mailbox. There is nothing to switch on.
- Pictures
- When you show them, they load through DMU Mail, so the sender’s server sees ours, not your address. A picture you show can still tell the sender the message was opened.
- Mail from outside
- The notice appears on mail from someone nobody here has written to, and stays on a message that cannot prove it came from its domain. Administrators can turn it off in Settings › Spam & senders.
- Your picture settings
- Settings › Spam & senders › Images, for you only.
