Search in Greek and English
Type three letters and DMU Mail suggests conversations, people and labels. A word still matches without its accents, in another case or with another ending, in Greek and in English.

What it does
The word, not the spelling
Accents and capitals don’t matter
A word matches with or without its accents, in lower or upper case.
Word endings are matched
Most Greek and English endings match, so one form of a word finds the others.
Suggestions as you type
From three letters you see conversations, people and labels, and Enter runs a full search.
Works on encrypted mail
Your mail stays encrypted on our servers, and search still finds it.
How it works
Type, pick, narrow
- 1
Type
Click the search box or press /, then type at least three letters. It searches the mailbox or team you are in.
- 2
Pick
Choose a conversation, a person or a label from the suggestions, or press Enter to search every message.
- 3
Narrow
Quote a phrase, put OR between words, put a minus before a word to leave it out, or add label: and a label’s name.
Good to know
The details
- What it finds
- Subjects, the text of messages, the names and addresses of senders and recipients, and attachment file names.
- What it doesn’t
- It matches words, so a typo or a piece from the middle of a word finds nothing. Trash is never searched.
- Who sees what
- You only find mail you are allowed to see. A colleague’s private mailbox never appears in your results.
- Recent searches
- The sidebar keeps your five latest searches, so you can run one again with a click.
- For developers
- Search from your own code with List threads in the API, which takes search words and label: terms.
