Send later
Choose when a message goes out, then change the time or cancel it before it does. Scheduled messages wait in a view of their own, soonest first.

What it does
Out at the right time
Pick the moment
Later today, this evening, tomorrow morning, next Monday, hours or days from now, or any date and time.
Change your mind
Move the time, send it now, or cancel. A cancelled message reopens as a draft.
A view of its own
Scheduled lists every message waiting to go, soonest first, in your sidebar.
Shared with the draft
A message written together has one time, and the bar says who set it.
How it works
Schedule, wait, change
- 1
Write
Write the message as usual, then choose the arrow beside Send. On a phone it is a clock button.
- 2
Pick a time
Choose a time from the list, or Pick date & time. A time that has already passed is refused.
- 3
Change it later
Open the conversation from Scheduled. A bar at the top offers Change time, Send now and Cancel.
Good to know
The details
- Quick choices
- Later today is three hours from now, offered only when that is before 19:00. This evening is 20:00, offered before 18:00. Next Monday is not offered on a Sunday.
- Times
- Times are in your computer’s time zone. Tomorrow morning and Next Monday use 08:00 unless you change it in Settings › Writing.
- Checks first
- The questions about a missing subject or a forgotten attachment are asked when you schedule, not when the message goes.
- For developers
- Send a draft through the API with a sendAt time, and cancel it until then.
