Snooze
Hide a conversation until it needs you. At the time you choose it comes back to your list, unread, and new mail from the customer brings it back sooner.

What it does
Out of sight, not forgotten
Quick choices
Later today, this evening, tomorrow morning or next Monday, in one click.
Any time you like
Choose a number of hours, days, weeks or months, or pick a date and time on the calendar.
It comes back by itself
It returns to the top of the list, unread, marked Back from snooze.
New mail wakes it
A new message from outside brings it back early, so nothing waits unseen.
How it works
Snooze, pick, return
- 1
Snooze
Press B, or choose Snooze in the top bar or the right-click menu. Select several to snooze them together.
- 2
Pick a time
Choose a quick time, In…, or Pick date & time.
- 3
It returns
At that time it goes back to your Inbox, unread. Open it in Snoozed to change the time or choose Wake now.
Good to know
The details
- Who sees it
- A snooze belongs to the conversation, so it is snoozed for everyone, and its history says who did it.
- Your morning
- Tomorrow morning and Next Monday use the time in Settings › Writing, 08:00 until you change it.
- What cancels it
- New mail from outside wakes it early. Closing or trashing it cancels the snooze.
- Which conversations
- Open ones only. A closed conversation, a draft or one in Spam or Trash cannot be snoozed.
- For developers
- snoozeUntil in the API’s Update a thread snoozes one conversation, or wakes it with null.
