Conversation history

Every change is written into the conversation: who closed it, assigned it, renamed it or snoozed it, and when. Nobody has to ask what happened, because it is all there in order.

The inbox, with a conversation assigned to a colleague.

What it does

Who did what, and when

  • A plain sentence each

Each line has the person’s face, what they did and the time. Hover for the full date.

  • Among the messages

Lines sit between the messages in time order, so you see what happened between two replies.

  • Every kind of change

Closing, assigning, labels, renames, snoozes, moves, merges and access given by a mention are all recorded.

  • Automatic changes too

A reply reopening a conversation, a snooze ending and every automation step are written in as well.

How it works

Nothing to switch on

  1. 1

    Work as usual

Close, assign, label, rename, snooze or move a conversation. Each action writes its own line.

  2. 2

    Read the timeline

Open any conversation. The lines are there among the messages, oldest first or newest first, as you choose in Settings › Reading.

  3. 3

    Open the rest

Three lines show at a time. Choose +N more events to see the rest, and Show fewer to fold them away.
