No-reply heads-up
Write to an address such as noreply@ and DMU Mail adds a quiet note under the recipients, because nobody reads that address. It never blocks Send.

What it does
A quiet word of warning
A gentle note
Under the recipients it says the address looks like one nobody reads, and a reply may never be seen.
A mark on the address
The address keeps a small mark among the recipients after you close the note.
Never in the way
It does not block Send, and it does not ask again when you press it.
Careful about what it flags
It knows noreply, no-reply, do-not-reply and mailer-daemon, and leaves info@ and hello@ alone.
How it works
Add, read, carry on
- 1
Add a recipient
Type it, paste it or pick it, or reply to a message that came from a no-reply sender.
- 2
Read the note
It appears under the recipients as soon as the address is added. With three or more, it gives their number.
- 3
Carry on
Close the note with its cross, or remove the address. Send works as it always does.
Good to know
The details
- Who and where
- Everyone, in every composer: docked, popped out and on a phone.
- What it matches
- noreply, no-reply, no_reply, do-not-reply, dont.reply and mailer-daemon, ignoring anything after a plus sign.
- What it leaves alone
- notifications@, alerts@, info@ and hello@, because people read many of them. A wrong note is worse than none.
- Your own addresses
- Your organisation’s own mailboxes never trigger it, in case you connected a real no-reply@ mailbox.
- Closing it
- The cross closes the note for this draft. Adding another address of that kind shows it again.
