Write together
Share a draft with a colleague and write it at the same time. Everyone’s cursor shows with their name, so you can see who is typing and where.

What it does
Two heads, one reply
One draft, several writers
Colleagues who can send from the mailbox can join a reply draft and write in it together.
See who is typing
Each person has a colour, a cursor with their name and a tinted selection, and their faces show in the draft.
Everything is shared
Text, recipients, subject and attachments merge, so two people adding different addresses both keep theirs.
A pause before Send
If someone typed in the last five seconds, DMU Mail asks whether to Wait or Send now.
How it works
Join, write, send
- 1
Join the draft
Open a conversation where a colleague is writing a reply. Choose Join the draft, or press Reply, which joins it too.
- 2
Write together
Type at the same time. Cursors carry names, and a short note says when someone joins or leaves.
- 3
Send
Anyone in the draft can send it. The history says who sent it and who wrote it with them.
Good to know
The details
- Who can join
- Colleagues who can send from the mailbox, up to eight people in one draft.
- A separate reply
- Reply separately, in the message menu, starts a second draft when two different answers are wanted.
- What is shared
- The draft’s text, recipients, subject, From address and attachments.
- Send later
- The time is part of the draft. Anyone in it can change or cancel it, and the bar says who set it.
- Leaving
- The last person to leave keeps the draft saved. Someone who closes the tab counts as having left after 30 seconds.
