Bookings, dispatch and customs, answered by whoever is free

A single shipment can start a dozen emails across bookings@, dispatch@ and customs@, and each one needs the right person quickly. Forward them around and somebody always ends up answering blind.

What changes for a logistics team

  • 01

    Own each shipment

Assign the thread to whoever is handling the load, and everyone can see it’s taken.

  • 02

    Find it by any number

Search for a container, booking or AWB number, even with a digit out of place.

  • 03

    Hand over at shift change

The history shows what happened, so the next person picks up without a phone call.

  • 04

Ask the office, not the customer

Check a price or a delay in team chat under the email. The customer never sees it, and nobody forwards the thread round the office.

A day with DMU Mail

A Tuesday at bookings@

  1. A booking is confirmed

Northline Shipping confirms the vessel and the cut-off. Ελένη takes it with one click.

  2. Customs clears a container

Κύμα Εκτελωνιστική writes to customs@. Γιώργος already has the shipment, so it’s his.

  3. A question for accounts

Γιώργος asks @Maria in team chat to check the invoice before he answers.

  4. Shift change

Ελένη hands her open shipments to the evening shift. The history tells them where each one stands.

FAQ

Questions from logistics teams

Can bookings@, dispatch@ and customs@ stay separate?
Yes. Each address stays its own mailbox, and you choose which team sees which. The people who handle them see them in one list.
Do our customers notice anything?
No. They write to the same addresses and get ordinary emails back, from the address they wrote to.
Which mail providers work?
Gmail and Microsoft 365 connect with a Google or Microsoft sign-in, and any other mailbox that offers IMAP and SMTP works too.
