From the waitlist to your organisation
DMU Mail is in private beta. This is the path from joining the waitlist to an organisation with its first mailbox, and how signing in works afterwards.

Join the waitlist
On dmu.email, choose Join the waitlist. It opens the sign-up page.
Choose how you will use DMU Mail: With a team, or Just me.
Enter your name, your work email and a password of at least the length shown, and agree to the Terms and the Privacy Policy. You can also choose Sign up with Google or Sign up with Microsoft instead of a password.
DMU Mail emails a 6-digit code to that address. Type it in, or click the link in the same email. The code works for 15 minutes. If it does not arrive, choose Resend code after a minute.
If your address is not on the beta list yet, you reach three short questions: your company, how many people will use DMU Mail, and how you found us. Answer them and you see “You’re on the list”. Nothing else is needed until we write to you, usually within a few weeks.
Invited by a colleague? You can skip the waitlist. Open the link in your invitation and you join their organisation at once: see Invite your team.
When your spot opens
You get an email called “Your spot is open”. If you already have an account, sign in and choose Set up my organisation. If not, choose Create my account, which fills in your address, and verify it as above.
Set up your organisation
A short set-up opens. It shows which step you are on, and every step but the first can be skipped.
Organisation. Give it a name, check the web address your team will sign in at (it must be free, using lowercase letters, digits and hyphens), and say how many people will answer mail. You can rename the organisation later.
First mailbox. This is the same wizard as Connect a mailbox. Choose Skip for now to add it later.
Your team. Enter the email and role of each colleague and choose Send invitations, or Skip for now.
If you chose Just me, there is no team step: after the first mailbox you go straight to your inbox. You become the organisation’s administrator, and a short welcome tour starts.
Signing in
Password: enter your email and password. Use Forgot password? to get a reset link, which works for 30 minutes.
Google or Microsoft: choose Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft. This works for an address that already has a DMU Mail account. If you see “No DMU Mail account uses that address yet”, sign in with your password first and connect Google or Microsoft in your account’s security settings.
Passkey: choose Sign in with a passkey. See Passkeys.
Two-step verification: if you turned it on, DMU Mail then asks for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. See Two-step verification.
