Add your colleagues by email, or copy a link and send it yourself. Each person gets their own sign-in.

Send an invitation

Only administrators can invite people. The set-up for a new organisation also asks once, on its last step.

  1. Open Settings, then People, and choose Invite.

  2. Enter your colleague’s email address.

  3. Choose a Role: Member reads and answers mail, Administrator also manages mailboxes and people.

  4. Choose Send invitation.

The invitation appears in the list as Invited, with the role they will join as. You can Resend it or cancel it there. For what each role can do, see Invite people and choose their role.

What your colleague does

They open the link in the email. Someone new adds their name and chooses a password. Someone who already has a DMU Mail account signs in and joins. The link works for 7 days, so choose Resend if it has lapsed.

They then see the shared mailboxes the organisation has given them. Which ones depends on teams and on whom each mailbox is shared with: see Shared and private inboxes.

If the email goes astray, or you would rather send it in a chat message, choose Copy link beside the pending invitation and paste it where you like.

  • The link is for that address only. Your colleague confirms the address with a 6-digit code, emailed to them, before they join. Do not share the code.

  • It stops working after 7 days.
